Word of the Day (WOD)

Exordium (Noun) \ig – ZOR – dee – um\

Definition:

1. The beginning of anything.

2. The introductory part of an oration, treatise, etc.

Sentence:

Scornful antipathy could have been the result of the superfluous storyline if it hadn’t been for the thorough exordium illustrating the reason behind such ludicrous opinion.

    • Thanks gamarand! It has been merely a month since I decided to play with words in a public forum such as this; however, I have always been drawn to the esoteric side of language. This is more for me than anything but I certainly enjoy the appreciation of others sharing the path of literary admiration.
